Pricing is where many new PR resellers get stuck. Charge too little and every order costs you time you are not paid for. Charge too much without explaining the value and clients start looking elsewhere. The good news is that the maths is simple once you separate your costs from the value you add.
Every resold service has a wholesale cost: what the PR provider charges you for the distribution or outreach. On top of that come your own costs, such as your platform plan, payment fees and the time you spend on briefing, editing and client communication. Add these up per order before you think about a retail price, so that your margin is real and not a guess.
Then price the outcome, not the upload. Clients are not buying a file transfer. They are buying your judgement about which package suits their news, a release that is ready for editorial review, and a single point of contact. That service layer is what justifies your markup.
A common approach is three tiers: an entry package for simple announcements, a mid-tier with wider distribution, and a premium option that bundles extra help such as writing or outreach. Tiers make the decision easier for clients and give them a natural upgrade path.
One-off orders are unpredictable, so consider monthly plans for clients with regular news, for example a fixed number of releases per month. Recurring revenue and client retention matter more to the health of your business than the margin on any single order. Review your prices when provider costs change, and be open with clients about what is included.
With WhiteLabelPR you resell PR services from your own branded platform and orders are processed automatically, so you can spend your time on clients rather than admin. There is a 100% free plan to start, and paid plans begin at $9 a month. See pricing.
